Family & Friends

Family

I am the partially-middle child of a family of six. There's my mom and dad, Michael and Cindi Scott, both of whom came from pastor/missionary families (which most likely inspired my upbringing in Africa). I have an older sister named Jessica (Jess, 22), and younger brother named Alexander (Alex, 18), and a younger sister named Charissa (Rissi, 15).
We all live happily with our three cats and dwarf hamster in a small town in Oklahoma.

My dad's side is enormous, with four brothers and two sisters, nearly all of them married with at least two children, some of whom have children of their own. We recently had a reunion for my grandpa's 50th anniversary of preaching.

My mom only has two sisters, both of whom are married, also each with two kids.

My second family is the family of my boyfriend, and I love them very, very much. Doug, Leigh, their two boys (Ryne, my boyfriend, and his younger brother, Brady), and their sweet black Lab, Soot. They are the only people outside of my own immediate family whose house I can slouch around in wearing my pajamas and no makeup whilst simultaneously eating all their food.

Friends

Hannah has been my best friend since eighth grade. We met because she lived the next street over from me, and once we met, everything clicked. We've been friends ever since, to the point that we are the "walk-into-your-house-and-eat-even-if-you-aren't-home close" kind of friends.

My other best friend, Claire, is the girl I have been friends with since I moved back to the States in seventh grade. My partner-in-crime and an invaluable friend, I love her to death. We both attend the same college, have the same mind, and the same flair for gossip.

My boyfriend of 2.5 years is Ryne (named for the Chicago Cubs baseball player), and needless to say, without him I was missing out on something truly incredible. He attends the same college as Claire and I do, and I'm glad he does. I'm sort of needy when it comes to him, I'm ashamed to admit.
